About Lamb Shanks

Lamb Shanks is a UK-based ski tuning workshop and product brand built for racers, race parents, club technicians, and serious recreational skiers who refuse to settle for off-the-shelf preparation. We design and manufacture precision tuning tools — including the Heavy File Guide, the 3mm Scraper Sharpener, and a purpose-built File Storage Unit — and we run a hands-on tuning service from workshops in Crewe and North Wales.

Every product is engineered around the realities of a working tuning bench. Our file guide uses a heavy design that makes filing easier and lowers the risk of slipping on the steel edge, reducing injuries during ski prep. The scraper sharpener is built specifically for 3mm scrapers, delivering a perfectly square, razor-sharp edge that outperforms universal sharpeners designed for 3mm to 5mm blades.

Our tuning service covers everything from a dry slope special through to a full race tune and complete setup for new race skis. We offer both machine and hand-filed finishes, a premium 24-hour turnaround on request, and a 15% military discount for serving personnel and veterans. We also run workshop video calls to teach ski tuning techniques to skiers who want to understand the craft themselves.
